Once
I was in the work force and coaching gymnastics full time, I
became involved with windsurfing and sailing. A great past time
for sure!
As
I was getting a little older, I had very little activity in
the winter months and waiting for the summer months so I could
resume my water activities, I needed something to keep me in
shape. Weight lifting had entered my life again.
I
had been in the gymnastics field for more than 15 years and
coaching as a professional coach for approximately 12 of those
years. I had coached both in Ontario, Canada and Michigan, United
States. I had the opportunity to coach in Michigan for 2-1/2
years. During that time I had been introduced to bodybuilding.
I
had started competing in bodybuilding in Michigan entering into
local and regional shows. My first competition was a very interesting
experience because I had never even seen a bodybuilding show
let alone compete in one. It was a bit of a rough start but
after my first show, I was hooked. I became friends with a fitness
competitor, Natalie, who had helped me with my bodybuilding
and I had helped her with her gymnastics training.
When
I moved back to Ontario, Canada I became familiar to the Canadian
system, which was different from the States. I then mapped out
my plan and started competing here. The rest is history! Please
check out the rest of my pages and read on about what has happened
in my life these past couple of years.
Possibly
you have see articles about me in the newspapers, on television
in Canada and the United States or our local talk show "Six
in the City" in October 2002 here in Sarnia.
